What happens to our skin at 30?
In our early 20's, the skin is rich in collagen, supple thanks to plenty of elastin, radiant with youth and renewing cells at a fast rate.
From as early as our 30's, the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid naturally present in the dermis has already begun to decrease. Daily stress, fatigue, hectic lifestyle, poor diet and certain environmental factors (ex. sun, pollution) can cause the skin to breakout or become dry, eventually leading to the premature development of fine lines and wrinkles.
Anti-aging are not only reserved for older people. Today, there are ways to help younger people keep their skin healthy, delay the first signs of ageing, while preserving their facial features.
What happens to our skin at 40?
From as early as our 30's, the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid naturally present in the dermis has already begun to decrease.
In our 40's, the skin will gradually start to lose its firmness, elasticity and become visibly drier, resulting in noticeable expression lines, such as crow's feet and forehead lines. Depending on a person's skin type and a number of other contributing factors, the first signs of ageing may start to be noticed (hollow cheeks, marionette lines), along, with early loss of subcutaneous fat issue (dark circle, accentuation of nasolabial folds).
